Greenpeace
Fish Fairly, a Greenpeace campaign, means taking what you need from the sea and nothing more. It means viewing the seas as a common good and not as a source of enrichment for the few. Hundreds of thousands of low-impact fishers are doing just that, using fishing gear with a minimal impact on marine life. This is how they make an honest living and support their families.
However, these fishers are being forced out of work by vessels like monster boats — industrialized fishing vessels that deplete and destroy. When it comes to fishing vessels, monster boats are the worst of the worst. These monster boats are considered as some of the most destructive and voracious boats out there. Some of these boats can catch up to 350 tons of fish in one day.
